Kostas Antonopoulos-Rothschild, Managing Director, Platinum Yachts

Kostas Antonopoulos-Rothschild studied Mathematics and Computer Science and during his student years he co-founded the first Internet provider in his home country Greece as early as 1987. The company, which is called FORTHnet is trading successfully at the Athens Stock Exchange since 1996. 

He also studied Naval Architecture and following the completion of his studies, worked in Greek Shipping companies with tankers and chemical carriers fleets.

The last twelve years he is involved in the super-yachts industry and has been responsible for a number of new-buildings, conversions and refits. He is currently the Managing Director of Platinum Yachts, a company of Drydocks World, which specializes in large yacht conversions. The company is known for latterly building the largest yacht in the World, the 162m "Dubai". The company is entering the new-building league with a program for six 88m diesel-electric yachts in the new facility at Dubai Maritime City.
