Marcus Machin, Director, Tufton Oceanic (Middle East) Limited
Based in Dubai for more than 13 years, initially as the Finance Director for a major regional participant in the oil services, ship-repair and fabrication and offshore vessel owning sectors, prior to establishing arabCapital, a Dubai based advisory practice in 2000.
arabCapital and Tufton Oceanic, London established Tufton Oceanic (Middle East) Limited in 2006 as a joint venture company registered in the DIFC which currently manages c.US$450.0m of direct investments in ships operated by regional and international companies.
He is also a Director of Ocean Automation Solutions LLC, a Dubai based specialist ship repair company and of a number of independent fund vehicles.
He is a Law graduate of Cambridge University with senior shipping and project finance banking experience in London and Switzerland, latterly with Close Brothers Limited.
